Heute Morgen erwachte ich schon um 8 Uhr und draussen schien ein wunderschöner Tag zu beginnen. Eine Stunde später war ich beim Frühstück und lud währenddessen meinen Post von gestern ins Netz. Das ist praktisch wenn man alleine am Tisch sitzt und man nimmt sich dabei Zeit für beides! ; )

This morning I woke up already at 8 am and outside it seemed as there was a wonderful day announcing itself. An hour later I was at breakfast and meanwhile I uploaded my post of yesterday. This is quite practical when sitting alone at the table as you take time for both! ; )

Um 11:30 Uhr traf ich beim Golf de Mogador Essaouira, nur gerade 3 km vom Hotel, ein und startete die 18 Löcher bei sehr starkem Wind! Die letzten 9 Löcher spielte ich in netter Begleitung von Birgit und Karl-Heinz aus München. Ich hatte den Platz schon vor 2 Jahren einmal gespielt, da war er erst gerade eröffnet worden, nun sind ein wunderschönes Restaurant und Hotelanlage dazugekommen...

At 11:30 I arrived at the Golf de Mogador Essaouira, only about 3 km from the hotel, and started the 18 holes with a strong wind! The last 9 holes I finished with Birgit and Karl-Heinz from Munich having a good time. Last time I played the course 2 years ago when it was only just had opened, now there has joined a beautiful restaurant and hotel...

Kurz nach 16 Uhr war ich zurück im Hotel um kurz eine Duschen zu nehmen, dann ging ich gleich wieder los in die Medina um ausgiebig einzukaufen... (Mel: Ich habe dir 3 verschiedene Curries, reicht das?) Heute war es bedeutend kälter mit dem Wind und ich war froh, dass ich meine Alpacajacke dabei hatte!

Shortly after 4 pm I was back at the hotel to take a quick shower and then move on right away to the medina for extensive shopping... Today it was noticeably cooler with the wind and I was very glad that I had taken my Alpaca jacket with me!

 

Red Snapper, Restaurant Le Chalet de la Plage, Essaouira

Als ich später bei Nico vorbeikam musste ich mich natürlich zu ihm setzen und es gab vin gris zum Apero (gar nicht so schlecht, erinnerte mich etwas an den Pinot Grigio) und plötzlich brachte noch jemand 2 Tassen heisse Suppe vorbei! (Sabine: Nico hat schon mal ähnliche quadratische Bilder für Tische eines Restaurants gemalt!) Als ich mich kurz vor 21 Uhr endlich bei ihm und seinen vielen Besuchern wegschleichen konnte überkam mich auf dem Rückweg zum Hotel doch noch ein kleines Hüngerchen und ich kehrte nochmals im Restaurant Le Chalet de la Plage ein, wo ich vorgestern schon ein fantastisches Weihnachtsmenu genossen hatte. Heute Abend bestellte ich einen grillierten Red Snapper... und ich habe gleich 2 auf meinem Teller erhalten - ob die schon wissen was für ein großer Esser ich bin?!

When I passed Nico’s atelier later on of course I had to enter and sit down and we had vin gris (which reminded me a bit of the Pinot Grigio) and soon after somebody brought 2 cups of hot soup! When I finally was able to sneak away from him and with his many visitors around 9 pm I felt a kind of hungry on way back to the hotel and decided to have a little bite at the Restaurant Le Chalet de la Plage where I had already a fantastic Christmas dinner 2 days ago. Tonight I ordered a red snapper... and I got 2 on my plate - if they already knew that I am a big eater?!
