Um 9:30
Uhr sass ich draussen an der Sonne beim Frühstück und genoss das herrliche Brot
und die viele selbstgemachten Marmeladen. Eine halbe Stunde später holte Larbi
mich ab und los ging es in die Wüste!
At 9:30 am I sat outside in the sun having breakfast and enjoying the delicious bread with lots of different homemade jams. Half an hour later Larbi came to pick me up and off went into the desert!

Larbi
gehört zum Stamm der Nomaden, die noch bis vor kurzem in der Wüste gelebt
hatten, aber seit es kein Wasser mehr gibt haben sie sich im Oasenstädtchen
Mhamid el-Ghizlane niedergelassen. Er erzählte mir vieles vom Leben in der
Wüste und wie es sich geändert hat und ich erzählte ihm von meinen vielen
Wüstentouren mit meinem Freund Sheikh Marey in der westarabischen Wüste (in
Ägypten zwischen dem Roten Meer und dem Nil)...
Larbi belongs to the tribe of the Nomads, which until recently lived in the desert, but because there is no more water they had to move into the oasis village of Mhamid el-Ghizlane. He told me lots about life in the desert and how much it had changes and I told him about my many expeditions into the west Arabic Desert (in Egypt between the Red Sea and the Nil) with my dear friend Sheikh Marey...

Bei einem
Brunnen treffen wir Nomaden, die 5 Tage mit Touristen ein Trekking zu Fuss und
mit Dromedaren gemacht hatten. Mustafa fragte uns ob er bis nach Chegaga
mitfahren dürfe... klar doch, so haben wir jemanden, der uns aus dem Sand
helfen kann falls wir stecken bleiben würden! ; ) Wir hatten glücklicherweise
kein Problem, aber anderen sind wir tatsächlich begegnet, die im tiefen Sand
festsassen!
Wir
passierten die Oase Sacre wo eine Handvoll Leute und 3 Gazellen leben und es
einen Friedhof mit einem Marabo (eine Art Mausoleum) gibt.
At a well we met some Nomads who just had returned from a 5-days trekking with tourists on foot and by dromedary. Mustafa asked us if we could give him a lift to Chegaga... of course, like this we had someone who would help us out of the sand in case we got stuck! ; ) Fortunately we didn't have any problems, but we did meet jeeps which stuck in the deep sand!
We passed the oasis Sacre where there lived a handful of people and 3 gazelles and where there was a grave yard with a marabo (a kind of mausoleum).

Um 13 Uhr
erreichten wir die Dunes de Chegaga, wo eine Gruppe Belgier Zelte bezogen hatte
und sich tagsüber mit ihren Gleitschirmen von Jeeps in die Lüfte ziehen
lässt... Mustafa bereiteet uns einen Tee zu und danach bewanderten Larbi und
ich die Sanddünen...
At 1 pm we reached the Dunes de Chegaga where a group of Belgians had rented tents and had themselves lifted into the air with their parachutes by a jeep during the day... Mustafa prepared us a tea and thereafter Larbi and I climbed the sand dunes...

Um 20:30
Uhr ging ich zum Abendessen, ich hatte bereits eine Poulet-Citron-Tajine
vorbestellt... Es war wieder ein Gaumenschmaus! (Ürsel: Wenn du Ende dieses
Monats hier bist ist dieses Hotel wirklich ein Must!)
